Supervisor/Foreman Training

The Supervisor/Foreman class focuses on Leadership Skill development for supervisors to better communicate with their crews. Construction supervisors
are usually selected or promoted based on skills as workers and their ability to organize and complete work. Typically, not much emphasis is placed on effectively communicating what you want done. We will also look at conflict resolution, or the difference between what is expected and what is observed, and why that difference exists. Safety is often seen as an additional task that supervisors don’t have time for. This class will assist the integration of safety as part of the planning phase of work and seek to develop observational skills for safety hazards, as well as the elimination of those hazards before they can cause an injury.
