Oryx Employee Earns CWCP Designation

Oryx Insurance Brokerage, Inc. is proud to announce that Marjorie Montross, CWCP, CRIS, WCLS recently earned a Certified Workers’ Compensation Professional (CWCP) designation from Michigan State University’s School of Labor & Industrial Relations.

The CWCP designation process is considered one of the premier national programs for workers’ compensation professionals. The comprehensive week long certification process covered five modules: Principles of Disability Law, Claims Management, Insurance & Self-Insurance, Safety/Disability Prevention & Management Issues and Medical Issues. “Marjorie is the third employee of the Oryx Claims department to earn this very important designation” stated Tom Pasquale, President of Oryx Insurance. “Training is one of our tenets of success and Marjorie is an excellent representation of the Oryx Claims department credo of Tools, Time and Training”.

Montross is located in the Oryx Syracuse, NY office employed as a Workers’ Comp Litigation Analyst. She is a licensed New York State Claims Professionals with over 25 years experience. Montross also maintains a Construction Risk and Insurance Specialists (CRIS) and Workers’ Compensation Law Specialist (WCLS) designations. She is currently working to complete the Construction Safety and Health Specialist Training (CSHST) at the OSHA Education Center at Rochester Institute of Technology.
