Oryx Insurance Announces 15th Anniversary of its Workers’ Compensation Program

Oryx Insurance Brokerage, Inc. is excited to announce that January marks the 15th year anniversary of its workers’ compensation program for artisan contractors. This milestone marks the achievement of a vision that began 15 years ago when the company set out to solve the problem of limited workers’ compensation in New York’s construction market.

The program has grown from writing the Workers Compensation policy for one NY paving contractor to several thousand policies representing more than $3.7 billion in historical written payroll.  The program has expanded to include both monoline Workers Compensation and multi-line coverage’s for the construction, manufacturing, retail and wholesale industries.  Oryx also recently celebrated the year anniversary of opening of their second office in Syracuse, NY.  The Syracuse branch is a licensed TPA handling claims administration and oversight for the programs Oryx represents.

The collaboration of internal underwriting, claims and loss control has created a program that has proven to stand the test of time. This integration, coupled with the dedication of the company’s strong distribution force of appointed agents has produced a relationship that will ensure long term stability.
