Oryx Receives Inaugural TMPAA Program Marketing Campaign Award

Jun 1, 2011Press Release

Target Markets Program Administrator Association (TMPAA) announced today the results of the recently completed member competition for best program marketing campaigns.  The first annual marketing campaign was conducted in partnership with the Insurance Marketing & Communications Association (IMCA) as part of IMCA’s annual Showcase Awards competition, now in its 53rd year.  IMCA provided a national panel of creative and marketing judges.  TMPAA added several seasoned professionals familiar with program business marketing to the judging panel.

Each entry had to submit samples of their marketing materials and a description of their marketing initiatives that included print ads, websites, electronic marketing, public relations, online advertising and any other printed collateral material.  To qualify, TMPAA members were required to submit a minimum of two different marketing components that were part of a unified marketing campaign fielded in 2010 and/or 2011.

TMPAA presented three winning members with Award of Excellence plaques at the association’s 2011 Mid-Year Meeting in Boston.  Tim Cappellett, VP, Sales & Marketing of Oryx Insurance Brokerage, Inc. accepted the award for their “We Stand Alone” campaign. Oryx submitted eight marketing items that included print media, direct marketing, sales material and social media. “The objective of the marketing campaign was to illustrate how Oryx stands alone in the field of construction insurance”, stated Thomas A. Pasquale, CEO and President of Oryx. “We utilized boxing imagery throughout marketing campaign to brand Oryx as a Program Administrator willing to fight for their customers”.

Ray Scotto, TMPAA’s Executive Director stated, “We were very pleased by the quality of work that was submitted by our members.  All entries were judged by a national panel with extensive experience in marketing, advertising, and program business.  We partnered with IMCA because they have sponsored the most prestigious creative insurance award program in the U.S.”  Temie Seibert, IMCA’s Executive Director added, “We were excited to co-brand our annual Showcase Awards with TMPAA.  They are recognized as one of the strongest insurance industry association in the country and we hope to carry on this partnership in the years to come.”
